Overview We are seeking a

Senior Copywriter (Contract)

to create clear, compelling, and on-brand copy across corporate and marketing communications for a financial services brand. Reporting to the Creative Director, this hands-on role collaborates closely with design, marketing, and compliance teams to deliver high-quality work in a regulated environment.

This role is ideal for an experienced writer who can quickly ramp up, work independently, and confidently handle complex subject matter while maintaining brand voice, clarity, and compliance.

Responsibilities

Write, edit, and refine copy across web, email, social media, presentations, paid media, and internal communications

Translate complex financial concepts into clear, accessible, and engaging language for diverse audiences

Ensure all copy aligns with brand voice, editorial standards, accessibility guidelines, and regulatory requirements

Collaborate closely with designers, marketers, subject-matter experts, and compliance partners throughout the review process

Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines

Incorporate feedback efficiently while maintaining clarity, accuracy, and high craft standards

Proofread and edit copy for grammar, consistency, tone, and adherence to style guidelines

Contribute to messaging frameworks, headlines, CTAs, and content optimization as needed

Qualifications

Degree in Marketing, English, Creative Writing, or equivalent professional experience

8+ years of professional copywriting experience, preferably in corporate or brand marketing

Proven experience writing for large organizations or enterprise brands

Exceptional writing and concepting skills (Figma experience a plus)

Ability to simplify complex or technical information without losing accuracy

Experience in regulated or compliance-driven environments (financial services, banking, fintech, insurance, or similar industries)

Strong project management skills and ability to work independently

Excellent communication and collaboration skills

What Will Set You Apart

Experience writing for both B2B and B2C audiences

Comfort partnering closely with designers and shaping copy within visual systems

Experience supporting large-scale campaigns or ongoing content programs
