Job Overview Continental Industries is seeking a visionary and self-motivated Senior Estimator to build our next-generation estimating department. As an anchor in our leadership team, you'll own the full project lifecycle from conceptual budgeting to real-time pricing support for live builds, while identifying opportunities to integrate new technology. Key Responsibilities

Estimate and price projects from design development (DD) budget to construction plan revisions.

Maintain a real-time bid timeline and ensure timely delivery of all pricing.

Execute project prequalification requirements.

Build detailed budgets, phases, and categories within management software.

Create and manage SOVs (Schedule of Values) and AIAs for each project.

Quantify cost impacts of RFIs, ASIs, CORs, field directives, and all other change orders.

Assist field teams in maintaining labor and material budgets.

Manage supplier relationships and negotiate pricing.

Generate supplier stock layouts from project RCPs and oversee material orders.

Submit NOCs and NOFs in compliance with project requirements.

Provide technical insight during scope reviews and plan evaluations.

Lead selection and integration of preferred estimating software tools.

Recommend and implement construction management software.

Stay current on AI estimating developments and drive AI integration.

Coordinate with 3rd-party estimating services as needed; analyze and break down received estimates.

Mentor and develop junior estimators as the team expands.

Qualifications

5 years of construction estimating experience preferred (residential and/or commercial).

Strong ability to manage projects from concept through execution with minimal supervision.

Proven experience in budgeting, cost estimation, SOVs, AIAs, and plan change management.

Deep knowledge of construction processes, labor/material tracking, and cost control.

Tech-savvy with a strong interest in integrating new software and AI tools.

Exceptional organizational, time management, and communication skills.

Continued education or certifications are a plus.

No specific licenses required.
