Position Summary
American Athletic, Inc has an immediate opening for a
Customer Service Representative
at its Jefferson, Iowa facility.
The Customer Service Representative is responsible for handling inbound and outbound calls and emails to answer inventory, pricing, order status and other general inquiries from customers. This position processes orders, responds to product inquiries and conducts inside sales efforts.

Specific Responsibilities Manage inbound and outbound calls and email inquiries from customers to place orders, obtain an order status, check inventory and/or inquire about pricing or freight rates. Effectively communicate by composing accurate, prompt and effective replies. Handle difficult or sensitive issues with customers in a polite and tactful manner.
Coordinate custom product requests from customers and communicate requests to the Engineering group. Obtain and communicate cost and quote information to the customer. Obtain receipt of custom orders. Provide designs to customers and obtain approval prior to manufacture.
Receive and process orders in the computer system in a timely manner. Monitor orders and complete follow-up to ensure delivery by specified dates. Process end-of-day shipments by adding freight and invoicing.
Provide up-to-date order and shipment information to customers. Coordinate with manufacturing and external shipping companies to expedite or trace missing or delayed shipments.
Discuss product lines with dealers and prospective customers. Forward leads to dealer network.
Quote shipping, enter orders, consolidate orders when needed, coordinate ship dates, invoice, add freight, and give freight allowances where needed.
Minimum Qualifications
High School degree or equivalent required; Associate degree in related field a plus
Strong computer and MS Office knowledge and skills
Must be able to speak, read, and understand English fluently
Excellent communication, attention to detail and phone skills
Knowledge of applicable athletic equipment a plus
Minimum Job Experience Required
1+ years of customer service and/or sales experience
