Overview
Wallingford Country Club is a private club in Wallingford Ct. with around 300 golfing members. As a member of our team, you will assist in all aspects of the golf operation including but not limited to: member relations, course play, tournaments, lessons, merchandising, staff management, training, playing, etc. You should to able to provide highly efficient and superior customer service to each and every member. This job is perfect for a candidate looking to do a lot of teaching as most of the lessons will be directed to this Assistant Golf Professional. This will also include organizing and running all Junior Golf Camps, Clinics and Ladies Clinics as well as our PGA Junior League Team.
Experience Required
PGA Member or Associate.
Private club experience preferred.
Proficiency in Golf Genius Tournament Software.
Fully knowledgeable of all opening and closing golf shop procedures.
Past teaching experience required.
Essential Responsibilities
35-40 hours a week working in pro shop or helping with outside services (Teaching, Clinics, Camps and Junior League included in hours per week)
Assist the Head Golf Professional and fellow team members in all aspects of the golf operation
Greet and assist each member and guest as needed, maintain relationships with all members of the club
Assist in managing Outside Services staff; including scheduling, hiring & training
Provide golf instruction as needed to all golfers as requested
Market and promote all club events to the Membership
Assist in administration of tournament operations
Lend support as needed to all other facets of the club including F&B, Greens, Membership and Office Staff
