Edelman Smithfield offers a deep and talented bench of approximately 250 financial market specialists across more than 25 cities and 15 countries.Edelman Smithfield advises senior leaders and management teams navigating complex matters that impact reputation and valuation and has deep expertise in serving and communicating to the financial markets.We are seeking a strategic, detail-oriented, and highly organized **Account Executive** to join the Edelman Smithfield team.**Key Responsibilities:*** Collaborating in the development of communication plans tailored to meet client goals.* Orchestrating traditional and integrated outreach initiatives efficiently.* Managing multiple projects from inception to fruition, ensuring adherence to deadlines and budgets by proactively addressing challenges.* Nurturing relationships with clients and colleagues across all hierarchical levels.* Consistently delivering high-caliber internal and external communication materials.* Contributing to the new business process through idea generation, research, and proposal preparation.* Pursuing continuous learning and setting ambitious goals for personal and professional growth.**Basic Qualifications:*** Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Business, Journalism, Public Policy, Communications, or a related field.* Minimum of one year of experience in communications, public affairs, or public relations, preferably in an agency or large corporate environment.**Preferred Qualifications:*** Demonstrate a polished and professional demeanor with strong interpersonal skills, capable of effectively representing the company in client-facing interactions.* Demonstrates an interest in finance, investment, and business-related subjects.* Proficiency in corporate communications and a desire to expand expertise in public relations, particularly within institutional financial services such as private equity, venture capital, hedge funds, investment banks, insurers, cryptocurrencies, and fintech.* Exhibits strong written and verbal communication skills.* Displays meticulous attention to detail and exceptional time management abilities to juggle multiple projects effectively.* Thrives in a collaborative environment, contributing original ideas for creative campaigns and media activations.* Has been involved in researching, planning, and executing comprehensive PR campaigns.* Possesses adept storytelling abilities and offers sound media counsel to clients of all levels.* Excels in overseeing account quality and operational performance, ensuring deliverables meet standards and deadlines.* Understands visual communication, social media, and digital platforms and their integration into client programs.* Maintains a keen interest and awareness of current events, particularly those relevant to business and finance.* Approaches challenges with a solution-focused mindset.* Embraces innovation, intellectual curiosity, and a willingness to take calculated risks, driven by the success of both clients and their own career progression.$65,000 - $75,000 per year#LI-JLFAn employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of DJEH’s total compensation package for employees.
