Full‑time Golf Course Manager responsible for the operation, maintenance, and financial performance of a Kodiak, AK golf course. Season April–October, leave November–March. Responsibilities
Operate course operations, including fairways, greens, practice areas, driving ranges, and a pro shop. Plan, organize, and manage internal resources to maximize productivity and economies. Prepare financial plans, budgets, inventories, cost controls, and related reports. Supervise Cashiers and Greenskeeper positions, including training, scheduling, performance appraisals, and personnel actions. Ensure compliance with EEO, fire, safety, security, sanitation, hazardous material handling, and environmental regulations. Maintain security of funds, merchandise, supplies, and equipment to prevent fraud, waste, and abuse. Provide world‑class customer service with courtesy and problem‑resolution skills. Adhere to safety regulations, report hazards, injuries, and property damage promptly. Qualifications – Minimum
Three years of professional golf course operations experience, including retail, personnel procedures, and course maintenance. Experience managing chemicals used for fungicides, insecticides, weed, and bush control. Knowledge of safety, occupational health, and environmental regulations related to chemicals and sprays. Effective written and oral communication skills. Computer proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook. Supervisory skills to oversee employees in accomplishing work. Physical ability to lift and carry up to 45 lbs independently and over 45 lbs with assistance. Preferred
Experience with Alaska environmental challenges. Benefits
