Overview
Course Superintendent / Greenskeeper – Job Description The Course Superintendent (Greenskeeper) is responsible for the overall maintenance, appearance, and playability of the golf course and its surrounding grounds. This position is critical to the long-term success of the golf course and reports directly to the Grounds Committee Chair. Responsibilities
Daily maintenance and long-term care of greens, tees, fairways, rough, and practice areas Supervision, training, and scheduling of grounds and seasonal staff Adequate knowledge of irrigation systems and system upkeep Mowing, fertilization, aeration, and pest-control programs Monitoring turf health and responding to weather or environmental conditions Oversight of maintenance equipment, tools, and facilities Budget preparation and coordination with the Grounds Committee Course setup for tournaments, leagues, and special events Compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards Regular communication with the Grounds Committee Chair Applicants please email a resume to Ty Haas to tyhaas21@hotmail.com Qualifications
Experience in golf course maintenance, turf management, or related field preferred Working knowledge of turfgrass, irrigation systems, and equipment operation Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently Physical ability to perform outdoor work in varying weather conditions Applicator or pesticide license (or ability to obtain) preferred
