Rolling Green Country Club is seeking an Assistant Superintendent of Golf Course Maintenance to support the daily maintenance and agronomic operations of the golf course and grounds. This position works closely with the Golf Course Superintendent to deliver exceptional playing conditions while upholding Invited Clubs’ standards of excellence, safety, and environmental stewardship. Assist in planning, coordinating, and supervising daily golf course maintenance operations Provide leadership, training, and direction to maintenance team members Support implementation of agronomic programs including mowing, fertilization, irrigation, aeration, and pest management Monitor course conditions and assist with turf health evaluations and corrective actions Assist with irrigation system operation, troubleshooting, and repairs Ensure safe operation and proper maintenance of all equipment and tools Enforce safety standards and proper handling of chemicals and materials Maintain accurate records for pesticide applications, labor, and inventory Assist with tournament preparation, course projects, and continuous improvement Qualifications
Working knowledge of turfgrass management practices and golf course equipment Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Ability to work early mornings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed Valid driver’s license required Illinois pesticide applicator license or ability to obtain within a designated timeframe
