Overview Founded in 1916, Irondequoit Country Club is an 18-Hole Private facility located in Pittsford, New York. Irondequoit C.C. club members and guests play approximately 25,000 rounds annually on the beautifully maintained Donald Ross Design. Irondequoit has an extremely active and dedicated membership that enjoys the club's multiple-golf-related and social functions throughout the year. Most importantly, the qualified candidate must be dedicated to becoming or maintaining a Class A PGA/LPGA Professional and remain in good standing with their respective Professional Organizations. The candidate must be someone that understands and delivers the highest levels of customer service, while anticipating and reacting to the needs of our membership and their guests. Successful applicants are required to sustain highly organized work areas and must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Candidates will be responsible for, but not limited to, Tournament Operations (Golf Genius Tournament Software), Golf Shop Merchandising, participation in the highly active Junior Golf Program, PGA Junior League, Member Golf Clinics, Individual Private Instruction, Supervision of the Outside Operation Personnel, playing golf with the membership and their guests, tracking and monitoring play and staff scheduling.

Associate Golf Professionals will have access to the Head Professional's TrackMan launch monitor along with club fitting systems from Titleist, Taylor Made. The selected candidate will receive 2 meals per shift, a staff clothing allowance, playing privileges, PGA/LPGA member dues paid, and a potential equipment staff agreement for qualified professionals. can be flexible to accommodate the candidate's schedule. After the completion of year one, exceptional performers will have advanced opportunities to interview for Winter employment with multiple exclusive golf facilities in The Carolinas, South Florida and Southern California for potential Winter employment.

Experience Required

PGA of America Level 1

2-Years of Assistant Professional Experience

Knowledge and Experience using Golf Genius Tournament Software

Essential Responsibilities

Golf Genius Tournament Software

Golf Course/Pace of Play Monitoring and Supervision

Golf Shop Merchandising

Junior Golf Leader

Outside Staff Scheduling

Assist with members and guest registration, control and manage play.

Assist with all opening and closing procedures.

Assist in managing facility tournament operations including weekly events.

Assist in tournament operations and weekly events including planning, pre-tournament contracts, post- tournament billing, promotion, course set-up, preparation, scoring, prize distribution, and follow up.

Conduct individual lessons and group clinics.

Assist with Men's, Women's, and Junior golf events and programs.

Assist with management of outside service staff to provide the highest levels of customer service.

Assist in managing golf car operation, practice facility, and club storage service.

Provide club repair and club fitting services to members.

Directly responsible for timely and consistently maintaining the club's USGA Handicap System.

Assist in the inventory control of hard goods, soft goods, and special orders including ordering procedures, and receiving goods into point of sale, pricing procedures, display, and sales.

Play golf with a variety of members in competitive and non-competitive situations.

Assist in planning and budgeting for the golf operations.

Must always conduct oneself in a professional manner and maintain a professional image.

Assist with the administration of applicable staff via recordkeeping, work schedules, etc. in accordance with facility human resource policies.

Assist in coordinating golf activities with other departments.
