About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director to lead its mission of providing inspiring and joyful experiences for children and adults with special needs. The successful candidate will be responsible for fundraising and financial stewardship, strategic vision and execution, leadership and team development, and program operations and oversight. This role requires a passionate and skilled individual who can build on the organization's foundation, diversify its board, clients, and funding streams, and ensure the financial viability of the organization. The Executive Director will work closely with the Board, staff, and community stakeholders to refine and communicate a clear strategic vision, and will be the primary leader in fundraising efforts, with a focus on increasing individual giving and foundation support.
The ideal candidate will have a strong connection to the mission of the organization, experience in working with people with special needs, and a proven track record in fundraising, including major gifts and institutional funding. They should be adept at building and managing relationships with diverse stakeholders and have the ability to inspire a culture of accountability and excellence. Key competencies for this role include the ability to instill trust, build effective teams, ensure accountability, and drive vision and purpose. The Executive Director will also be responsible for programmatic oversight, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, client-centered services, and upholding the organization's commitment to inclusivity, transparency, and support.
