About the Role
The Company is seeking a new Executive Director to lead its mission of providing essential support to families with children facing life-threatening illnesses. The successful candidate will be a compassionate and mission-driven leader, responsible for designing and executing a comprehensive multi-year strategic and operational plan. This plan will encompass fundraising, marketing, branding, program development, operations, governance, and facilities. The Executive Director will work closely with the Board of Directors and staff to enhance the organization's presence and impact, increase programs and support services, and expand philanthropic funding. Key responsibilities include serving as the chief spokesperson, fundraiser, advocate, and administrator, as well as ensuring the organization's operations are fiscally responsible and transparent.
The ideal Executive Director for the company will have a proven track record in nonprofit leadership, with the ability to lead a well-functioning staff and bring a creative and innovative approach to enrich the organizational culture. They will be expected to actively represent the organization in the community, increasing visibility and credibility to inspire support and promote public awareness. The role also involves day-to-day management, oversight of a team of direct reports, and collaboration with the Board of Directors' Standing Committees. The candidate should be prepared to take on this critical leadership position, following a period of sustained executive leadership, and be committed to the values and mission of the organization.
