Director, Quality Location: Lexington, KY

Gray Construction is looking to hire a Director, Quality to work out of the Lexington, KY office.

Responsibilities

Oversees and manages all aspects of quality control and assurance within the operations department at Gray Construction.

Leads the team of quality professionals toward operational success.

Develop and implement a comprehensive quality program tailored to Gray's needs including all policies and procedures. Aligns this with industry standards and proven best practices.

Design and enforce quality assurance processes and inspections for all phases of construction.

Lead continuous improvement efforts through analyzing Gray's site quality data to identify areas of improvement and implement new practices based on insights.

Communicate lessons learned and common quality issues to the company.

Alongside Gray's Training & Development team, develop and implement training programs for team members on quality standards, best practices, and compliance requirements to foster a culture of quality throughout Gray.

Collaborate with project teams to integrate quality considerations into project schedules and decision-making processes, fostering a team-oriented approach to quality.

Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering their professional growth and developing future leaders in quality management.

Monitor, create, and update the following

Inspection process of work going in place.

Root cause of major impacts to the project or business.

KPI's to enforce the conformity of the company in the execution of our projects.

While performing the duties of this position, the team member is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach with hands or arms and talk or hear. Generally, normal office environment where noise level is moderate and temperature/humidity is controlled. Overtime may be required.

Supervisory Responsibilities This position has supervisory responsibilities for both site and office-based team members.

Qualifications

The new team member is required to have a bachelor's or technical/associate degree in a related field; and 10 years of related experience; or the equivalent total of both experience and education totaling 14 years.

The selected candidate will have excellent communication skills.

At least 5 years in a leadership or management role, managing teams and quality initiatives.

The selected team member will have proficiency in quality processes, inspection techniques, and regulatory requirements.

The new team member should be an energetic, self-motivated individual who enjoys a team environment, as well as a passion for collaboration and professional development.
