Make a difference with us! A Fleet Porter to assist our fleet department in the efficient movement and organization of ambulances. You will be responsible for moving vehicles between operating stations, to/from vendors, and picking up parts. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills and a commitment to safety. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Safely move ambulances between company operating locations for fleet repairs and maintenance. Assist in the occasional loading and unloading of equipment and supplies onto ambulances as needed for fleet purposes. Coordinate with the Shop Foreman to prioritize vehicle movement based on operational requirements. Always adhere to safety protocols and procedures to minimize the risk of accidents or injuries. Communicate effectively with other team members to coordinate activities and address any issues that arise. Clean Fleet shop area Clean/detail ambulances, as assigned. Assist in other duties within the fleet department as assigned. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibrations. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme weather conditions. Noise level in the work environment can be loud. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Prior experience in a similar role, preferably in a fleet or transportation environment. Ability to operate vehicles safely and efficiently, including backing up and maneuvering in tight spaces. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects and work in outdoor environments and inclement weather conditions.
