You'll be at the forefront of design innovation - providing thought leadership on user experience trends, establishing and refining our design system, and ensuring that every interaction with Runbuggy's products is logical, consistent, and delightful. Your work will span the entire product lifecycle, from initial concept and requirements gathering to prototyping, testing, and final delivery.

What You Will Be Doing:
- Provide thought leadership on user experience issues and emerging trends.
- Develop and maintain a standardized design system and language.
- Collaborate with product management and engineering to gather and evaluate requirements.
- Rapidly iterate and generate multiple design solutions.
- Create UX/UI mockups, storyboards, wireframes, and detailed design specifications.
- Produce prototypes and work closely with engineers to bring designs to life.
- Assess and refine design solutions based on user goals and scenarios.
- Craft and communicate design stories that articulate the desired user experience.
- Define interaction specifications and ensure logical, consistent behaviors.
- Innovate new ways for users to interact with Runbuggy's web and mobile platforms.
- Demonstrate care for both the quality of your work and the overall user experience.
- Work collaboratively with other designers to enhance the software experience.
- Integrate branding considerations into user experience design.
- Balance stylistic breadth, attention to detail, innovation, and usability.
- Prepare and present designs to internal teams and stakeholders.
- Partner with internal teams to deeply understand product and documentation needs.
- Support user acceptance testing strategies for major releases.
- Deliver clean, user-focused interface designs that meet customer and specification requirements.
- Work alongside developers to ensure design and functionality align with expectations.
- Participate in regular design critiques and synthesize feedback.
- Set and monitor usability goals; conduct usability tests with internal and external users.

What You Bring to the Team by Way of Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar required.
- 3+ years of experience designing UI & UX for consumer applications.
- Proven ability to execute the entire product design process, from user flows to final assets.
- Strong visual design skills and awareness of current web and mobile trends.
- Up-to-date knowledge of design tools.
- Deep understanding of user-centered design philosophies and best practices.
- Excellent attention to detail, creative problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated success working cross-functionally with Engineering, Research, Product Management, and Marketing.
- Strong collaboration and influencing skills, with the ability to lead and inspire.
- Passion for quality, innovation, and world-class design.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and manage multiple priorities independently.
- Experience designing for both mobile and web applications.
- Experience building basic interaction prototypes.
