Managing Director
A leading main contractor operating across the London & South East markets is seeking a Managing Director to lead the business through its next phase of growth.
With a current turnover in the £30m–£50m range and a strong secured pipeline, the business is now looking to appoint a Managing Director who can take ownership of strategy, performance, and long-term direction. This is not a turnaround role. The business is stable, profitable, and well regarded. The appointment is about leadership, evolution, and controlled growth.
- Overall leadership and strategic direction of the business
- Driving sustainable growth, turnover, and margin performance
- Strengthening and mentoring the senior leadership team
- Maintaining strong client and consultant relationships
- Oversight of commercial, operational, and financial performance
- Ensuring the business structure supports long-term scalability
Ideal background
- Proven experience at Managing Director or Board Director level within a main contracting environment
- Strong understanding of fit out and/or new build delivery
- Commercially astute with strong financial awareness
- Credible, calm leadership style with the ability to influence at board and client level
Location: Clerkenwell
Salary: £120,000 - £150,000 /annum + bonus + full package
