Intalex is hiring: Public Relations Communications Manager in San Francisco

Overview

I’m recruiting on behalf of my client for a PR & Communications Manager who can lead PR end-to-end and help transition the brand from reactive to proactive.

• Scaled software company (growth stage, strong backing)
• Product: scheduling, time tracking, payroll, team comms, HR for hourly work
• Customer base: small businesses with hourly teams (restaurants, retail, local services)
• Big focus this year: stronger narrative, thought leadership, and data-driven storytelling
• Build and own PR end-to-end (team-of-one to start)
• Drive Tier 1 / Tier 2 media coverage with US business + tech press
• Lead first-party data storytelling and partner closely with analytics/product (bring hypotheses, not just react to insights)
• Location: San Francisco hybrid (2 days/week in office)
• Experience in PR/Comms with strong in-house ownership
• Real US reporter relationships + repeatable Tier 1/2 wins
• Builder mindset: comfortable setting strategy and executing fast
• Ground-floor chance to build PR from scratch
• Strong data and product story to tell (not just generic comms)

Qualifications & Experience

• In-house PR/Comms ownership experience
• Strong US reporter relationships and a track record of Tier 1/2 media wins
• Ability to set strategy and execute quickly
• Comfort with data-driven storytelling and partnering with analytics/product teams
• Location: San Francisco hybrid (2 days/week in office)
