Leasing Agent (Part-Time | Onsite – Muncie, IN)
Must rotate Saturdays with another Leasing Agent | Interviews immediately
Role Summary Support occupancy goals by delivering strong customer service, managing leasing activity, and assisting with application processing and resident communications.
Key Responsibilities Leasing & Marketing
Market available units through approved platforms
Respond to leasing inquiries via phone, email, and guest cards
Schedule and conduct property tours; ensure units are tour-ready
Present unit features, pricing, policies, and lease terms accurately
Assist with marketing efforts, including social media and property events
Applicant Processing
Distribute, collect, and process rental applications
Verify income, employment, rental history, and references
Coordinate background and credit screenings
Communicate application decisions professionally and confidentially
Follow up on pending applications and prospects
Lease Coordination & Renewals
Coordinate approved applications with the Property Manager
Ensure required documentation is complete and submitted on time
Support lease preparation, execution, and renewal follow-ups
Resident Relations & Customer Service
Serve as a primary point of contact for prospects and residents
Address inquiries promptly and escalate issues when needed
Maintain a professional, customer-focused approach at all times
Administrative & Team Support
Maintain accurate leasing and applicant records
Log calls, tours, applications, and communications
Update property management systems regularly
Coordinate with the Property Manager and maintenance team
Assist with move-in preparation and additional tasks as needed
Communication & Professional Standards
Reliable and timely communication is a core requirement of this role. Failure to respond promptly to phone, text, or email outreach may result in disqualification.
