NDS
Overall responsibility for all wholesale sales and profitability for specified territory. Reports directly to Regional VP.
Responsibilities
Responsible for the achievement of budgeted gross sales and standard margin for the sales region.
Using the NDS Way of Selling, lead the regional sales team of District Sales Managers and Independent Manufacturers Representatives to implement strategic growth initiatives to achieve targeted market share growth, project wins and contractor engagement goals.
Responsible for continuous training and coaching of IMR's and DSM’s. Training will include product knowledge, selling and management skills, organization skills and customer relationship management.
Establish Sales Person Contribution targets for IMR's and DSM's and ensure goals are achieved.
Coach DSM to consistent pipeline growth and attainment using the NDS Way of Selling tools
Mentor and coach DSMs in project based business to continually improve project close rate.
Improve DSMs understanding of pricing based on account benchmarking and competition to maintain and improve margin.
Identify and manage efforts on target accounts with the highest potential for incremental growth.
Manage corporate level relationships with key accounts while leading IMR/DSM team activities at the field level to execute wins
Help the DSM's to manage their territory opportunities using Salesforce.com
Responsible for pricing, profitability, sales analysis for the territory wholesale accounts.
Provide market reports and information to senior management as required.
Perform special projects as assigned by Regional Sales Director.
Responsible for recruitment of DSM’s for the territory.
Position Requirements
BA Degree Preferred
Must be located within one of the following states only: New York or Pennsylvania
5 to 10 years’ experience in sales management for manufacturers marketing products and services to a wholesale distribution network
Experience in the residential, commercial and municipal construction markets is preferred
Experience managing sales professionals in multiple locations
Outstanding leadership skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, rapidly changing technology environment
Work well with cross-functional teams to accomplish goals
Ability to work with and motivate others
Experience in managing major accounts and complex sales processes including a strong competency with multi location accounts
Intermediate PC skills, as well as proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Power Point and Word are a must.
Must have a valid driver’s license at all times as well as a clean DMV record.
Strong planning and organizational skills
Excellent communication, presentation, relationship, time management, prioritization and business skills
Ability to recognize a problem or potential problem and react quickly and effectively
Must demonstrate good team and human relation skills
Read and analyze sales reports and interpret general business trends
Ability to write reports and business correspondence
Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
Work Conditions
Candidate will live within the territory and work from a home office
Travel up to 50% of the time within the field.
