Job Vacancy: Account Executive – Cybersecurity (Germany)

To support this expansion, our client is seeking a high-energy Account Executive / Business Development professional to drive new customer acquisition and accelerate cybersecurity sales across Germany and the DACH region.
The Role As an Account Executive – Cybersecurity/ OT Security, you will be responsible for identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities with mid-market and enterprise customers. You will act as a trusted advisor, helping organisations understand complex cybersecurity, compliance, and certification services, while positioning tailored solutions that align with their needs.
This role is heavily focused on new logo acquisition, market development, and building long-term customer relationships in a fast-scaling, entrepreneurial environment.
Key Responsibilities
Develop a deep understanding of the cybersecurity services portfolio, including compliance, certification, and assurance offerings
Proactively identify and engage new customers across Germany and the wider DACH region
Build and manage a strong sales pipeline through outbound activity, networking, and market intelligence
Clearly articulate value propositions, guiding customers through scope, timelines, and pricing
Prepare and present commercial proposals, managing the sales process end-to-end
Collaborate closely with cybersecurity technical experts, local sales teams, and business leadership to close complex opportunities
Maintain visibility of wider sales activity to identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities
Represent the business at relevant industry events, conferences, and networking forums
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, ideally in a technical, engineering, or business-related field
Proven experience in B2B sales, business development, or account management (cybersecurity, OT, IT, SaaS, or compliance services preferred)
Exposure to cybersecurity standards, certification schemes, or regulated environments is highly desirable
Strong commercial mindset with the ability to understand customer challenges and translate them into tailored solutions
Confident, credible communicator who can engage senior stakeholders
Native German speaker (mandatory) with excellent professional English skills (spoken and written)
Self-starter attitude, comfortable operating in a fast-growth, scale-up environment
