This is a fantastic opportunity for a results‑driven and hands‑on individual to join our team at Iris Mechanical. The role is remote, with company headquarters in Santa Clara, CA.
As the Marketing Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating, planning, and executing marketing campaigns across multiple media channels. You will establish a collaborative working relationship with the business owner, who will guide strategic and big‑picture goals while you take charge of tactical implementation and execution. The ability to organize, plan, and structure your workload autonomously is key to your success. We value freedom and responsibility over micromanagement.
The Six Non‑Negotiables of This Role
- Copywriting: Craft direct marketing campaigns across email, direct mail, web, and social media. Excellent written skills are required, and samples of previous work are expected.
- Tech‑savvy: Comfortable with new marketing tools and technologies. Daily tools include CRM systems, content management systems, and email marketing platforms.
- Leadership potential: Initially the sole in‑house marketing person, with the expectation to grow into a team‑lead role upon achieving goals.
- Project management: Experience in creating and adhering to deadlines, drafting budgets, and moving simultaneous projects forward to completion.
- Teachable and coachable: We hire primarily on attitude; ongoing learning is essential.
- Self‑starter: Proactively determine what needs to happen, when, and how.

- Hourly rate of $30 USD.
Day‑to‑Day Tasks and Responsibilities
- Develop and execute email marketing campaigns and manage CRM workflows.
- Optimize marketing systems and processes from top‑of‑funnel awareness through customer acquisition, enhancing customer lifetime value.
- Graphic design and development of marketing materials such as lead magnets, resources, content, brochures, and landing pages.
- Create and manage a content calendar: plan, schedule, and analyze content; repurpose assets across media channels; manage the company’s social media presence.
- Write and edit marketing copy for various channels (social media, email, website).
- Track KPIs and campaign performance weekly, monitoring metrics such as website traffic, leads generated, and customer engagement.
- Create and manage project timelines to ensure timely completion of campaigns and initiatives.
- Manage the company’s website (built on WordPress): update content, ensure functionality, and improve performance.
