Real Estate Investment Analyst . The ideal candidate would have a passion for real estate and investing, be self‑motivated with a high attention to detail, and a drive to exceed goals. The
Real Estate Investment Analyst
will play an integral role in the underwriting, acquisition, repositioning and sale of single family real estate across Bayview’s proprietary sourcing channels. Analysts will be supported with extensive training and work closely with senior investment professionals with the opportunity to quickly participate in investment decisions and will have an ability to make an immediate impact in a fast‑growing team. The salary range for this role is $60k to $80k; however, Bayview considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, location and key skills.
We’re currently considering candidates based in the following areas: Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas/Ft. Worth, Houston, Las Vegas, Phoenix, and Tampa. Because this position requires general real estate knowledge of your local market, candidates should reside in one of these regions.
For candidates located in Dallas, this role will begin as a remote position and transition to a hybrid schedule once our Dallas office opens in Q1 2026.
All team members are expected to act as compelling representatives of the Company focused on delivering a superior counterparty service experience.
Responsibilities
Underwriting, monitoring and making decisions to acquire, reposition and sell single family real estate across the United States
Analyze current value, potential rent, cost of renovation, and projected sale price for individual assets
ROI & IRR analyses for various strategies and channels
Creating, maintaining, and updating financial models of existing and potential new investments
Stress testing investment performance through the scenario and sensitivity analysis
Creation and presenting of investment memorandums
Monitor and research real estate market trends; synthesize complex and diverse information from multiple data sources in order to prepare research presentations
Monitor and analyze reporting from asset/property management, construction and title partners
Meet or exceed KPIs
Work on additional new business initiatives across operating segments as needed
Qualifications
Residential real estate, mortgage or structured product knowledge preferred but not required
Understanding of real estate risk with ability to apply to local markets preferred but not required
Motivated self‑starter; creative problem‑solving abilities
Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to build relationships
High level of integrity and sound business judgement
Highly organized with strong time management skills; ability to manage multiple projects
Highly communicative and responsive; Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with co‑workers, partners and vendors
Excellent computer skills and proficient in Excel, Word and Outlook
Proven strategic agility and stretch; can easily assume wider and more complex tasks and initiatives in a dynamic and fast‑paced organization
Ability to work effectively both in a team environment and independently; open to direction and collaborative work style
Bachelor’s degree required, preference for concentration in business, finance, or STEM
2‑5 years of investment analysis, real estate acquisitions, or engineering. Exceptional undergraduates will be considered
Willingness to complete a DiSC personality assessment
Certifications, Licenses, and/or Registration
Real Estate License preferred but not required
