Position Summary TCW’s Private Credit Group provides capital in connection with acquisitions, recapitalizations, growth and special situations both to sponsored and non-sponsored borrowers. The role is suitable for candidates seeking to build a career in private debt investing, particularly focusing on middle‑market companies. The candidate will assist with underwriting new investments, portfolio management, and a variety of ad‑hoc projects.

Specific responsibilities include conducting due diligence on potential investments, creating and maintaining detailed financial models, assisting in the creation and presentation of investment memorandums, and monitoring a portfolio of active investments.

Candidates must be proficient in financial statement analysis and have the ability to construct a three‑statement forecast model. Strong written and communication skills are required. Candidates should be self‑starters with the ability to work in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial, multi‑task environment.

Essential Duties

Evaluate new investment opportunities through in‑depth business analysis, detailed financial modeling, industry research, and meetings with management teams

Assist in structuring and underwriting new investments

Prepare written analyses and present findings to the group’s investment committee

Monitor existing portfolio companies through ongoing financial review and management interaction

Assist with ad‑hoc analyses and projects related to the Private Credit Group

Required Qualifications

Strong academic credentials; Bachelor’s Degree from a top university, majoring in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field preferable

1–3 years of experience in investment banking, asset management, debt capital markets, private equity, restructuring, accounting or consulting

Demonstrated experience in financial analysis and modeling

Excellent quantitative and analytical skills

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Advanced computer skills using Microsoft Office

Estimated Compensation Base Salary:

For NY/MA based position, the base salary range is $120k to $145k. This is an anticipated range only.

Other Compensation:

Eligible to be considered for an annual discretionary bonus.
