Summary The Senior Preconstruction Manager will manage the internal self‑perform Preconstruction projects and support the vision of becoming the leading solar solution provider in the Americas. The role requires a fundamental construction and engineering background and will lead preconstruction project management for self‑perform MW‑scale ground‑mount PV and ESS power plants.

This is a remote position with travel up to 25%. Working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm (or 9:00 am–6:00 pm local time). Overtime and weekend work may be required. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Essential Job Function & Responsibilities

Leadership: Lead and manage multiple preconstruction managers; mentor and coach professional growth.

Estimation & Cost Management: Coordinate with Estimating to ensure deliverables align with schedules.

Project Planning & Risk Evaluation: Develop execution plans, identify risks, and recommend mitigations.

Provide input on project schedules and activity durations.

Collaborate with Procurement, Engineering, Legal, EHSQ, Project Finance, Development, PMO, Systems Integration, Sales, and other departments.

EPC Contract Management: Lead drafting of Owner‑requested LNTPs; collaborate with legal and contract teams; participate in commercial negotiations.

Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate communication with clients, engineers, regulatory agencies, and AHJs; manage client expectations and foster relationships.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field (preferred).

Graduate degree in engineering or related field (highly preferred).

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (preferred).

Minimum of 3 years of engineering or construction industry experience.

Minimum of 1 year of solar development experience.

Track record of successfully designing and building large‑scale solar power plants.

Knowledge of all phases of renewable power plant development.

Experience with project developers and RFP processes.

Ability to highlight key risk factors and deliver best EPC cost estimates.

Experience with current solar EPC tools and practices.

Track record of cost reduction or performance improvement initiatives.

Understanding of solar module manufacturing and O&M (plus).

Leadership experience managing large technical teams and contractors.

Cross‑cultural leadership and communication skills.

Strategic and action‑oriented mindset with continuous improvement focus.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong teamwork, high professionalism, and self‑management.

Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Physical Demands

Stationary: frequently stationary up to 90% of time, sitting up to 8 hours/day.

Regular professional office setting.

Role may shift to onsite or hybrid per business needs.
