The Michigan State Lottery was established under the authority of Public Act 239 of 1972 to generate funds to support Michigan’s public-school system and generates revenue through the sale of Lottery tickets at retail locations and over the internet. Profits from lottery revenue are used to supplement state education programs.
Overview The Digital Content Specialist is responsible for maintaining and optimizing digital content across the Michigan Lottery’s owned digital channels, including the primary website, mobile applications, and the Retailer Wizard portal. This position ensures that all CMS-based content is accurate, compliant, and visually consistent while also supporting digital personalization efforts through Bloomreach. This position serves as the bridge between Advertising and Promotions, Product Development and technical teams — executing content updates, scheduling campaigns, and assisting in the setup of personalized or targeted user experiences. This position also acts as a liaison between the website/app vendor and the Lottery. This position is responsible for reviewing and budgeting development hours and sprints.
Responsibilities
Maintain and optimize digital content across owned digital channels (website, mobile apps, Retailer Wizard portal).
Ensure CMS-based content is accurate, compliant, and visually consistent.
Support digital personalization efforts through Bloomreach.
Bridge between Advertising and Promotions, Product Development and technical teams; execute content updates, schedule campaigns, and assist in the setup of personalized or targeted user experiences.
Act as liaison between the website/app vendor and the Lottery.
Review and budget development hours and sprints.
Education
Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major.
Experience
Four years of professional experience, including two years equivalent to the experienced (P11) level or one year equivalent to the advanced (12) level.
