
Packaging Specialist – Field Sales - Kansas City Area
3M invites experienced field sales professionals to join our Kansas City team. The Packaging Specialist role focuses on building relationships with end‑user customers across Food & Beverage, Healthcare, and e‑fulfillment markets while collaborating with internal sales resources.
Responsibilities
Lead the development of new and existing end‑user customers, focusing on the packaging portfolio of solutions.
Collaborate with the packaging sales team and inside sales resources to engage end users and channel partners.
Determine sales goals and utilize tactics to meet and exceed sales objectives.
Support relationships with key personnel at multiple levels in the buying process to attain territory sales goals and generate leads for new business.
Provide input in the development of short‑ and long‑term growth targets that align with existing business plans and strategies for greater territory and account penetration.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start).
Three (3) years of independent field sales experience managing a specified territory in a private, public, government, or military environment.
Current, valid driver’s license.
Preferred: Master’s degree in Business or Sales Development, five years of professional field sales experience, proficiency with Microsoft Office, Salesforce, and strong sales/business acumen.
Location & Travel Remote‑based with coverage of the Kansas City area, including all of Kansas, Nebraska, and parts of Iowa. May require up to 20% domestic travel.
