Role Overview The Service Provider Communications Specialist will oversee education and outreach (E&O) service providers and contractors—local governments, nonprofits or other contractors—so that CAA Colorado can deliver, monitor, measure and continuously improve CAA Colorado’s E&O outcomes. Work will align with the Colorado Program Plan’s E&O approach across state, community, household and data driven activities. Key Responsibilities

Plan and run clear, consistent communications for Colorado service providers and contractors conducting community- and household-level E&O activities.

Help local governments access E&O funding.

Support overall service provider communications to drive participation in EPR.

Coordinate webinars and trainings including the development of agendas, presentation materials and relevant follow-ups.

Provide technical assistance for service providers to achieve deliverables and outcomes for community-level E&O projects. This may include drafting and releasing guidance, FAQs, templates, and updates.

Review and approve all documentation required by service providers to successfully meet E&O requirements. Track milestones and provide feedback that improves future community- and household-level E&O.

Support maintenance of the Colorado E&O portal, ensuring brand alignment while meeting localized needs that advance Colorado’s program plan goals.

Monitor and report on service provider-led E&O, aligning with national best practices to identify gaps and opportunities. Compile community- and household-level E&O achievements for CAA Colorado’s Annual Report and other needs.

Support the process for securing and maintaining contractors to conduct community-level E&O where the local government declines or does not respond.

Work closely with the Colorado team to ensure community- and household-level E&O programs drive Colorado’s overall recycling rate goals.

Partner with the National Communications team to support E&O pilots and iterations that reduce contamination and increase participation.

Skills & Competencies

Proven ability to steward an overall brand presence and tone, with excellent attention to detail.

Comfortable with metrics: can identify key performance indicators, analyze dashboards, and recommend improvements.

Strong project management skills for complex internal and external workflows.

Excellent writing, editing and interpersonal skills; a credible presence with public agencies and contractors.

Qualifications

Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.

Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or a related field; or equivalent experience.

Local government, stakeholder engagement and/or environmental experience.

Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and collaboration tools; familiarity with CRM and content platforms.

Compensation & Other Information

Location: Must reside in the state of Colorado.

Pay Rate: Based on a variety of factors in accordance with applicable law including the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and experience.

Reports To: Colorado Communications Manager.
