Job Summary
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: After receiving build out notification from Production Control group, provide build out item list, as well as new items list for upcoming models to Purchasing group as soon as possible. Ensure products or parts for New Model events and training material for Production are ordered in a timely manner. Maintain sub-supplier management and ensure their readiness by scheduling and conducting sub-supplier NMRs. Complete sub-supplier set up activity in QAD. Coordinate and communicate regarding New Model Purchasing activities within the Material Control group (Purchasing/Material Service/Production Control) Support sub-supplier evaluations to ensure they meet the purchasing procedures. Prepare and distribute New Model sub-supplier packets to them. Ensure routing set up and maintenance for all New Model finished goods and phantoms for WIP items. Ensure all New Model Purchasing documentation is up to date, accessible, and completed in a timely manner. Communicate all New Model supplier activities/event parts delivery to Purchasing representative and work with MS group to pull parts and conduct kit verification meeting prior to each event. Communicate mass production change points internally (MI / DCI Summaries, CIFs, etc.) Communication of new model change points , new specifications, and design change status (MI / DCI Summaries, CIFs, etc.) Maintain and update new model PTC, (both Internal & External) lists. Assist change point control activity. Receive Event Matrix, decode, coordinate, distribute & submit the Event Build information internally and maintain. Maintain and chair weekly New Model meetings, provide required information updates & Update slides. Support and ensure 3000 verification system is in place for PP Lot & first 3 months of Mass Pro, request summary. Achieve corporate goals and meet quality, delivery, and cost commitments. Support development of 5S, TPM and Kaizen programs. Ensure safe operations. Ability to work within a tight schedule. Will ensure daily control items align with the company business plan and key objectives/metrics. All other duties as assigned. Must be able to utilize customer specific portals and databases as it aligns with the above duties. Physical Requirements and Work Environment
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: Ability to walk, stand, sit, climb stairs, use fingers, hands, wrists, arms, lift and/or move a maximum of 25 lbs. occasionally.
