Job Overview
As a Field Merchandiser, you will work independently to showcase your organization and time‑management skills, establish retailer relationships, and represent Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement and maintain inventory levels, as well as support teammates with seasonal resets and installations.
Salary and Schedule Details
Starting hourly pay rate: $13.50‑$15.50, based on skills and experience.
Eligible for annual pay increases.
Part‑time position with a variable schedule.
Average weekly hours: 13‑17.
Availability required the week before and after major holidays, including weekends.
Your Role and Responsibilities
Day‑to‑day engagement: using a mobile device, restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory inside and outside the Hallmark department. Maintain professional interaction with store employees, management, and customers.
Holiday support: handle additional days and extended hours during holidays such as Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s and Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. May work on the actual holiday or weekend.
Department resets: participate in installations, relocations of card departments, and resetting card sections. Advance notice is typically two weeks; assignments may include evenings or weekends.
Team collaboration: support other merchandisers as needed, building a network of professionals.
Physical Requirements This is a physically demanding job that requires lifting, pushing, pulling, kneeling, squatting, and standing. You must consistently lift up to 30 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Climbing stairs and ladders may be required.
Basic Qualifications
At least 18 years old.
Read, write, and understand English.
Can lift up to 30 pounds regularly and 50 pounds occasionally.
Operates a digital handheld device to read documents and interpret information.
Has access to Wi‑Fi and the internet.
Has reliable transportation to travel to/between stores on schedule.
