The Trade Show and Event Specialist (Specialist) oversees all aspects of assigned conventions, trade shows, and recruiting events. The Specialist represents the company at trade shows as needed, manages design and production requests with graphic designers. Provides strategic support to the marketing team with procurement decisions, oversees budget management. The role also involves strategic planning and advertising for trade shows, as well as tracking generated leads and return on investment (ROI). Work Schedule: Remote-First. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Event Management: Oversee all details of the exhibition at assigned conventions, trade shows, and events. Lead Capture: Ensure all leads generated from trade shows and events are accurately captured and recorded in Salesforce or equivalent CRM. Lead Evaluation: Regularly evaluate the quality and conversion rate of leads to measure the effectiveness of trade show participation. ROI Analysis: Track expenses related to trade shows and events, and calculate the return on investment (ROI) to justify participation in future events. Sponsorship Utilization: Ensure the company fully leverages all contracted sponsorship options, including speaking opportunities, ads, logos, and mailing lists. Pre- and Post-Show Communication: Manage pre-show and post-show outreach campaigns. Exhibit Maintenance: Manages the vendor who ensures exhibits are in good condition regularly and maintain inventory quantity. (ex: ensuring we have enough giveaways, signage, handouts, etc. for upcoming conferences). Event Representation: Represent the company at trade shows as needed. Security Compliance: Adhere to and promote information systems security policies, standards, and procedures, and report any suspicious activities. Demonstrate outstanding attention to detail. Exhibit excellent oral communication skills and the ability to lead and direct others. Display creativity, judgment, imagination, enthusiasm, and a customer-service focus. Other duties as assigned. Adheres to all company policies. QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required. Prior experience coordinating conventions or trade show services is strongly preferred. Excellent administrative, writing, editing, phone, and customer service skills are required. Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint is required; proficiency in Excel is desired Education/Experience
Education: A minimum of a 2-year degree or equivalent work-related experience is required. Experience: At least 2 years of related work experience is strongly preferred. Additional Skills: Strong creativity, judgment, and the ability to work independently with a wide degree of latitude are expected. Employment at AMSURG
