Since being founded in 2018, Copper has been building the standard for institutional digital asset infrastructure with a focus on custody, collateral management, and prime services. Led by Amar Kuchinad, Copper’s Global CEO, the firm provides a comprehensive suite of custody, trading and settlement solutions that reduce counterparty risk and bring greater capital and operational efficiency to digital asset markets. At the heart of Copper’s offering is Multi-Party Computation (MPC) technology – the gold standard in secure custody. Copper’s multi-award winning custody system is unique in that it can be connected to centralised exchanges, DeFi applications and even staking pools without the assets leaving the custody.

Department/Team Purpose:

With a set of market leading products in custody, settlement, clearing, liquidity access, and our position as a leading infrastructure provider, Copper is well placed to become a pillar of future digital and tokenised assets industry. The Product Design team is small, highly ambitious, and plays a pivotal role within Copper’s Product organisation. Design is a critical function that shapes the user experience and drives business success.

Role Purpose We are looking for a talented Product Designer to help us set the institutional standard for the digital asset industry. This is a role for someone who gets excited about turning ambiguity into clarity. You’ll collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and other functions to ship features and products that matter—balancing user needs, technical constraints, and business impact.

Key Responsibilities

Design end-to-end experiences for new and existing products. Take ownership of the full design process—from early prototypes and user flows to high-fidelity designs ready for development.

Collaborate cross-functionally. Partner with product managers to define problems, work alongside engineers to ensure feasibility and quality.

Think in systems. Contribute to our design system and create scalable patterns that work across platforms. Designs should feel cohesive, consistent, and intentional.

Champion the user. Run discovery sessions, analyse user feedback, and use data to inform design decisions. Become an expert on our users’ workflows and pain points.

Push the craft forward. Go beyond delivery, challenge the status quo and always think of ways to improve.

Skills and Experience

4-6 years of product design experience.

Shipped features or products that solve real user problems, ideally in complex domains like fintech, SaaS, or technical workflows.

Strong portfolio.

Demonstrate real problem solving, not just aesthetics. Show your process, personas, data, messy exploration, iterations, and final execution.

Visual and interaction design skills.

Sharp eye for composition, typography, iconography, and layout. Know when to use animation meaningfully.

Systems thinking.

Understand how individual features connect to the wider suite of products.

Design tool expertise.

In‑depth knowledge of Figma and component libraries.

Clear communication. Articulate design decisions to engineers, stakeholders, and users. Comfortable presenting work and building consensus.

Self‑sufficiency and ownership.

Prioritise effectively, manage time, and seek help when needed. Proactively identify problems and drive solutions.

Curiosity and adaptability. Thrive in fast‑moving environments and eager to learn new domains such as blockchain, institutional finance, or emerging design tools.

Experience designing for crypto, fintech, or financial services.

Familiarity with design systems, component libraries, and design tokens.

Experience with user research and usability testing.

Experience designing accessible experiences.
