The team activates our full HMO, probiotic and precision protein portfolio through insight-led market communication, strong scientific and commercial storytelling, and expert external engagement.We are a part of the larger ELSN Category team, which also encompasses Portfolio Innovation and Strategy and Market Expansion.

The ELSN CD team consists of three core functions: Global Scientific Advisory, Commercial Development and Marketing Communication. We work closely with the regional Sales teams, Science & Innovation, Product Development and Regulatory.You will collaborate with colleagues across regions and functions, engage directly with strategic customer accounts and growth markets, and represent ELSN science at scientific and commercial events. The role is global and will involve international travel to customers, conferences and internal meetings.**In this role you’ll make an impact by:**Turning scientific evidence into clear, credible and differentiating narratives that drive growth for our HMO and probiotic portfolio in early life and beyond. You will be the go-to scientific expert for ELSN, shaping how we communicate our solutions to customers, partners, authorities and internal stakeholders.Your key responsibilities will include:* Driving the scientific narrative for our current HMO and probiotic portfolio in early life applications and broader functional foods* Owning and managing the science behind the ELSN portfolio, including scientific databases, key messages and scientific documentation* Supporting commercial execution of New Product Developments by creating strong scientific market narratives and positioning* Building and nurturing relationships with customers, scientific partners and key opinion leaders (KOLs), and acting as a scientific contact person at eye level* Collaborating closely with innovation, clinical and R&D teams to bring new scientific data and clinical trial results to customers, including participation in internal and customer-driven clinical projects* Educating internal and external stakeholders (e.g. sales, customers, regulators, health authorities) through training, presentations, webinars, seminars and conference talks* Creating high-quality scientific content (articles, publications, overviews, presentations) aligned with Novonesis strategy and ensuring scientific accuracy in all ELSN communication* Supporting sales and regulatory with scientific overviews and documentation required by authorities and customers, and helping guide clinical strategy and partner collaborationsTo succeed, you bring a strong scientific foundation in nutrition and/or micro-biology, combined with a proven ability to communicate science clearly and credibly to different audiences. You are comfortable operating at the interface between science and commercial and enjoy working in a dynamic, international setting.* A higher education within science, ideally a Ph.D. in nutritional sciences, microbiology, human physiology or a closely related field* Approximately 5–7 years of experience as a scientist within R&D, clinical research, medical affairs, milk research, innovation or similar, preferably in the early life nutrition segment* Documented scientific understanding and experience with study projects (e.g. clinical trials, preclinical studies, or evidence generation), and a relevant publication record within nutritional science, milk research, pediatrics or similar* Strong experience or clear interest in infant nutrition, HMOs and probiotics, and the ability to translate complex data into practical recommendations for customers and internal stakeholders* Excellent communication and presentation skills in English, with the ability to engage confidently with customers, KOLs, regulators and internal teams* Strong collaboration and project management skills, working proactively and effectively with multiple stakeholders in an international organization, and a readiness to travel as needed for customer visits, conferences and internal meetingsOn a personal level, you are a strong team player with high cultural understanding, you thrive in a dynamic environment, and you take a proactive, solution-oriented approach to your work.**Application deadline**: 9th of February 2026**Location:** Hørsholm, Denmark or Rheinbreitbach, Germany**Contact details**: Head of Commercial Development Claudia Stoecker, +49 15204712763, clast@novonesis.comWe will screen in-coming applications and invite for interviews continuously during the application period, so please apply as soon as possible.**Then apply today!**At Novonesis we commit to an inclusive recruitment process and equality of opportunity for all our job applicants.
