A global technology company is seeking a
Communications Specialist III
to support customer advocacy, proactive storytelling, and product-focused communications. This role is ideal for a communications professional with experience sourcing and developing customer success stories, managing cross-functional relationships, and supporting product launch moments across owned and earned channels.
The Communications Specialist will work closely with sales, product, marketing, research, and legal teams to identify compelling customer narratives, develop content, and support strategic communications initiatives. This position requires strong writing skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Storytelling & Content Development Source, develop, and secure customer success stories for use across owned content channels, including blogs and social media. Conduct interviews with customers and internal account teams to identify strong narrative angles. Write and edit content such as social posts, blog articles, pitches, and creative materials that highlight product impact and business value. Media Relations & Proactive Outreach
Develop proactive pitch ideas and maintain a consistent cadence of outreach to press and industry media. Build and maintain relationships with journalists, influencers, and external stakeholders across relevant verticals. Support press engagement during product announcements and industry events. Advocacy Program Management
Manage the global pipeline of customer advocates, ensuring a steady flow of new stories aligned with upcoming product moments. Prepare customers for participation in launch events, media opportunities, and storytelling initiatives. Track and report on advocacy program performance, providing weekly updates and insights. Product Launch Support
Partner with product marketing and cross-functional teams to develop communications plans for product launch moments. Ensure customer advocates are integrated into launch strategies to demonstrate real-world product impact. Support event logistics, content development, and cross-team coordination. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with teams across marketing, product, social, research, and legal to ensure alignment on messaging and content. Collaborate with internal content studios to produce high-quality creative assets. Contribute to a collaborative, non-hierarchical team culture that values creativity and initiative. Minimum Qualifications
5-8 years of experience in business communications, digital communications, product communications, or customer marketing. Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, or a related field. Experience in program and project management. Demonstrated ability to source, develop, and articulate compelling customer stories. Strong writing skills with the ability to translate complex advertising or product concepts into clear, accessible narratives. Preferred Qualifications
Experience in the advertising industry or customer marketing. Proven success executing creative communications and social programs. Experience in financial, business, or advertising public relations. Background in both in-house and agency communications environments. Familiarity with advertising tools, digital marketing platforms, or related technologies. Established media relationships in verticals such as gaming, automotive, retail, or financial services. Experience working in fast-paced or startup-like environments. What Makes This Role Unique
