
Skate Like a Girl is looking for a passionate, visionary leader with strong management skills, fundraising experience, and a commitment to creating a more inclusive skateboarding community.
Organization description: Skate Like a Girl is a federally recognized non-profit organization that promotes confidence, leadership, and social justice through the vehicle of skateboarding. By centering non-traditional skateboarders in our programs and events, we seek to create an equitable skateboarding community where everyone can thrive. Currently we have 3 chapters in Seattle, Portland, and the San Francisco Bay Area, and serve an annual 12,000+ individuals each year.
Reporting to: Skate Like a Girl Board of Directors.
Location: Seattle, with up to 4 days/week at home. Travel to chapters in Portland and SF as needed, as well as additional travel to various events or meetings with partners.
Time off: Unlimited paid time off (with supervisor approval); sick time accrued at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked.
Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision coverage with no waiting period paid at 50% by Skate Like a Girl. 401k matching. Minimum 26 days of paid vacation including 10 holidays and a 16-day paid annual unplug holiday in mid-September, with additional unlimited additional PTO days (with approval).
Hours: Full-time, non-exempt.
Wage: $75-85K annually, depending on experience.
- Partner with Chapter Directors to uphold consistent excellence in programming, fundraising, and human resource management, ensuring alignment with industry best practices.
- Oversee the logistics of recruiting, onboarding, training, and offboarding board members, TRC (professional skills) volunteers, and director-level staff.
- Lead the development, documentation, and enforcement of organizational policies, procedures, and standards.
- Cultivate and sustain relationships with corporate partners, individual donors, and foundations to secure financial stability and maintain a balanced budget that supports Skate Like a Girl’s sustainability.
- Execute additional duties and projects as needed to advance the organization’s goals and priorities.
