Job Description

Coast Funding is seeking a talented sales leader to join our growing team. This is a full‑time, in‑office role in San Diego, CA (remote positions are not available).

As Director of Sales, you will lead a team of 8–12 Business Funding Advisors in a primarily inbound lead environment. Your team will be responsible for consistent follow‑up and conversion across phone, SMS, and email. Your primary objective is to build, refine, and scale a sales playbook modeled on our existing top performers.

Responsibilities

  • Grow, develop, and manage an elite inside sales team.
  • Build and optimize sales processes, KPIs, and reporting.
  • Hold your team accountable while creating a fun, high‑energy environment.
  • Coach a consultative, value‑based sales approach.
  • Create strong value propositions and build lasting client relationships.
  • Assist with high‑value or complex transactions and key negotiations.
  • Partner closely with leadership on forecasting, strategy, and new initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3+ years managing inside sales teams or equivalent leadership experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree a plus.
  • Proven top performer with history of exceeding goals.
  • Outstanding leadership, initiative, communication (verbal and written), critical thinking, and ability to execute complicated sales strategies.
  • Collaborative team player.
  • Strong knowledge of CRM applications and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Desire to work in a fast‑paced environment with ability to perform under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience selling business financing or other B2B financial products.
  • Prior experience with Salesforce.com platform.
  • Familiarity with the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS).

Compensation

We offer a competitive base salary plus an aggressive, uncapped commission structure. First‑year total compensation is expected to range from $150,000 to $200,000, with subsequent years expected to exceed $250,000+. Actual starting pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, and education.
