to help keep our Lincoln Public Pools safe, welcoming, and running smoothly. As an Aquatics Head Lifeguard, you’ll be a leader on deck and in the water! Ensuring the safety of all pool patrons through vigilant supervision and quick response Dealing fairly, professionally, and courteously with the public Assisting with daily pool operations and maintaining a fun, safe environment Applying your knowledge of Red Cross Lifeguarding, water quality, and pool operations What We\'re Looking For

Have ability to deal fairly and courteously with the public Have knowledge of Red Cross Lifeguarding training Have knowledge of water quality, and pool operations as required by the Lincoln/Lancaster County Health Department Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills Compensation and Pay

Starting at $17.00 per hour. Pay is issued by direct deposit only. Candidates must have a valid bank account registered in their name in order to receive wages. This is an unclassified (seasonal) position and not eligible for benefits. Schedule

Variable hours between 6:30 a.m. - 8:30 p.m. daily. Approximately 35-40 hours per week. Minimum Qualifications

Must be at least 19 years of age or older prior to May 23, 2026. Must maintain current Lifeguard Certification and CPR for the Professional Rescuer Card, and Pool Operator\'s Card throughout employment. The Parks and Recreation department is FUNdamental to Lincoln. Our team manages 168 parks, 185.9 miles of trails, 97 playgrounds, over 83,000 street trees, nine public pools, six recreation centers, five golf (and disc golf) courses, five dog runs, a nature center, and beautiful public gardens. Our programs include recreation summer day camps, before and after school programs, clubs and classes for individuals with special needs, adult and youth team sports, nature-based classes and events, swimming lessons, wellness and fitness classes for all ages, and a variety of free events and classes for all ages.
