The Opportunity
Windsor Regional Hospital Foundation is seeking an Annual Giving Coordinator who will play a key role in driving growth and strengthening partnerships by supporting ongoing program needs within Windsor Regional Hospital’s Met and Ouellette Campuses, ensuring our patients have the best medical equipment close to home.
Reporting to the Manager, Philanthropy, the Annual Giving Coordinator will support in the execution of the Foundation’s signature and third-party events, staff giving program, and direct mail program.
The ideal candidate has exceptional organizational, time management, relationship management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, high-performing environment.
Key Responsibilities Signature Events & Campaigns: 25%
Provides fundraising and event management support for signature events and campaigns such as Hats on for Healthcare and the Annual Golf Tournament.
Developing prospect pipelines and tracking relationship activity for all signature events and campaigns.
Cultivating, solicitating, and securing sponsorship for signature events.
Supporting Manager, Philanthropy on creation of event plans.
Responsible for execution of event plans and for event management.
Third Party Events: 25%
Provides support for Third Party Initiatives.
Fosters relationships with Third Party Fundraisers.
Acts as primary contact for Third Party Fundraising Organizations.
Oversees in-kind donations and ensures they are facilitated in a meaningful and thoughtful manner.
Arrange third party cheque presentations and donor stewardship.
Staff Giving: 25%
Oversees the execution of the Staff Giving Strategy (Circle of Care).
Coordinates activation days within both campuses of Windsor Regional Hospital.
Coordinates stewardship activities for participants in the program.
Fosters relationships across Windsor Regional Hospital to further develop the Circle of Care program.
Direct Mail Program: 15%
Provide support with the direct mail program by exporting mailing lists, tracking appeals in Raiser’s Edge and coordinating various internal approvals on copy, art, and laser lives.
Support the monthly giving program as needed.
Other Duties (as assigned): 10%
Support the Manager, Philanthropy and Annual Giving Program’s operational needs as they arise.
Supporting the WRH Foundation office needs as they arise.
Qualifications & Requirements
Post-secondary education in a relevant field required.
2-5 years of Charitable sector experience and a successful record of accomplishment of securing sponsorships and gifts.
Experience with Raiser’s Edge or similar fundraising CRM.
Sound knowledge and understanding of the importance of donor stewardship and current CRA guidelines as it relates to fund development.
Desired Skills and Characteristics
Proven project management, event management, and customer service skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Pro-active, self-directed, and able to work in a fast-paced environment with competing projects and priorities.
Strong team player who is able to exercise sound judgment in relations with volunteers, staff, committee members and the general public.
Understanding of the working schedule of non-profits and flexibility of hours required.
The highest degree of ethical standards and professional conduct and operates with integrity.
