Responsibilities

Ensures highest quality customer service and assists the maintenance team with keeping all common areas by the entrances and exits clean.

Assists customers in making payment to fully automated revenue control equipment.

Helps customers with parking services and facilitates the expedient flow of traffic through the facility.

Leads programs to improve client and customer satisfaction.

Assists in the management of the day-to-day activities of the assigned location.

Monitors parkers in pay-in lanes.

Interacts with customers in a friendly and professional manner.

Provides assistance to customers that have forgotten where they parked their vehicle.

Performs other necessary functions as assigned by the supervisor.

Conducts garage and facility audits as required by management.

Counts revenue at the beginning of shift to ensure starting total is correct.

Makes change for customers when required.

Quotes rates for parking services and provides directions to customers to various locations in the city.

Resolves customer complaints independently or with the aid of a supervisor.

Answers telephone in a prompt and courteous manner (if required).

Maintains cleanliness of facility and surrounding area; presents a professional appearance in uniform.

Arrives on time for scheduled shifts and completes any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications Education Required:

High School Diploma or an equivalent combination of experience and education.

Experience Required:

Experience with automated parking access control hardware and software or a high aptitude for technology.

Availability to Work:

Special shift requirements may vary by location. Availability to work 2nd shift, 3rd shift, and/or weekends may be required.

License Requirement:

Must have and maintain a valid state-issued driver’s license with a current address and acceptable driving record.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to perform basic arithmetic and make change.

Language Skills:

Ability to read, write, and interpret English; communicate effectively with customers, clients, supervisors, and coworkers.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to follow detailed instructions and solve problems with a few concrete variables.

Adaptability:

Adapts to changes in the work environment and handles delays or unexpected events.

Judgment:

Exhibits sound and accurate judgment.

Other Skills and Abilities:

Proficiency with basic timekeeping, calculator or credit card machine, maintaining a pleasant demeanor on the phone and with the public, proactive customer service, willingness to lead by example, and flexibility in scheduling.

Work Environment

The noise level is usually moderate to loud.

Exposure to vehicle emissions is moderate to high.

Exposure to extreme hot/cold temperatures is moderate to high.

Work environment subject to all weather conditions.

Exposure to bright sunlight and nighttime working conditions is high.

Physical Demands The physical demands include standing, walking, using hands to handle objects, and reaching with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities include close vision. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

Compensation and Benefits Salary Range:

$22.05 per hour (+ tips). This role is eligible to earn tips in addition to the posted hourly rate.
