Ankin Law is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Intake Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have significant prior experience as a workers’ compensation or personal injury legal assistant or paralegal. This role requires a keen ability to evaluate cases from a business perspective and a talent for converting hesitant callers into clients, ensuring that all callers feel supported and valued. This role requires your presence full-time in our downtown office.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct initial assessments of potential cases through phone consultations.
Research and evaluate cases with a strong business acumen, identifying viable claims and potential legal issues efficiently.
Build rapport with callers, providing reassurance and support throughout the intake process.
Maintain detailed and organized records of all communications and case evaluations.
Provide exceptional client service, addressing inquiries and concerns in a timely manner.
Utilize legal software to document case information accurately.
Qualifications
Significant experience as a legal assistant or paralegal, specifically in plaintiff’s personal injury or workers’ compensation.
Proven ability to assess cases from both a legal and business perspective.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients.
Highly organized and detail-oriented, with excellent time management skills.
Fluency in Spanish is preferred to effectively communicate with a diverse client base.
Proficient in legal software and Microsoft Office Suite.
