Responsibilities

Under minimal supervision performs human resources and business activities in the School of the Earth, Ocean & Environment (SEOE) and the Baruch Institute to include: (1) coordinating all personnel activities consisting of faculty, TFAC, staff, emeritus faculty, instructors, post‑docs, and undergraduates; (2) serve as liaison to International Student and Scholar Support (ISSS) to process all visa requests, solve problems for international faculty and staff, and assist with paperwork in connection with international visitors. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of laws, regulations and policies relevant to the University of South Carolina and College of Arts and Sciences. Ability to effectively plan and organize work activities and prioritize task completion according to schedules and goals. Ability to communicate effectively with the public. Ability to exercise judgment and discretion in interpreting and applying policies and procedures. Ability to maintain confidentiality concerning departmental business. Ability to train other employees. Must be dependable. Qualifications

Requires a bachelor’s degree in a job related field and 1 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience. Job Close Date
