We are looking for an Investment Banking / Global Capital Markets professional to join our team in NYC. The successful candidate will provide deal execution support, prepare marketing materials including pitchbooks, conduct research and analytics, and provide internal process support to coverage and product teams across Equity Capital Markets, Debt Capital Markets and Mergers and Acquisitions globally. You will receive training in financial analysis and presentations, and will gain exposure to financial markets and macro trends. High performers may have internal mobility opportunities globally.
Description
This position supports the Corporate Derivatives Group via onboarding, preparation of pitches/decks & pricing, trade booking, monitoring trade lifecycle events, liaising with middle and back office to resolve settlement and confirmation issues, and working on operational process improvement.
Successful candidates will be diligent and efficient, prioritizing live risk questions with incoming queries, booking trades from multiple salespeople, and understanding complex and nuanced trades.
Candidates should be comfortable processing large amounts of information that can be a mix of repeat tasks and bespoke situations. There is opportunity to identify and drive process automation and efficiency.
You must be an excellent communicator, comfortable on the phone, with the ability to resolve problems and client concerns effectively, often navigating a large organization.
You will join a team but must be able to work and learn independently; you should thrive as a self-starter.
Key Responsibilities
Client onboarding: initiate onboarding through the ops onboarding team
Preparation of pitches and decks including research of client portfolios, trade idea development, pricing iterations and grids, sales and trading commentary, data-intensive analytics
Indicative and live pricing: substantial support in the trade structuring and pricing process
Trade booking/amendments (STIX, DDI, etc.), post-trade processes: ensure trade confirms are shared with client, trade recaps, EV/revenue booking
Trade settlement: callback verifications, obtaining SSIs, handholding settlements
Manage revenue/admin: updating sales credits, RR linkages, reconciling D2 entries and pipelines
Skills
Strong Excel skills
Experience with Bloomberg terminal is a plus
Experience with trade entry or trade lifecycle management systems is a plus
Experience
1-3 years of experience in trading operations or similar sales & trading support, in Equities or Fixed Income or similar products
Basic working knowledge of derivatives and/or other fixed income products

Compensation Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $110,000 and $125,000 per year for Analyst, at the commencement of employment. Base pay is determined on an individualized basis and is part of the total compensation package, which may include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, and other Morgan Stanley-sponsored benefits.
