Overview

Manage the full lifecycle of all IT assets – hardware and software – ensuring accurate inventory, license compliance, cost efficiency, and alignment with business needs. This is a full-time, on-site position responsible for maintaining the asset management system, performing software audits, managing licenses and subscriptions, and supporting IT contract activities. Key Responsibilities

Maintain and administer the IT asset inventory system with 100% accuracy. Track and update all hardware assets (desktops, laptops, servers, peripherals, networking equipment, mobile devices, printers) from acquisition to retirement. Conduct regular software audits to validate installations, usage, and compliance against licenses. Manage software licenses and subscriptions, including renewals, entitlements, optimization, and cost tracking. Review and recommend hardware models and configurations that meet business requirements and technology standards. Coordinate with IT and finance to ensure contracts, warranties, and service agreements align with inventory records and business needs. Resolve discrepancies between physical and system inventory through audits and reconciliations. Generate regular reporting on asset health, utilization, compliance, and cost trends. Establish and document asset management best practices and procedures. Specific Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience). 3+ years’ experience with IT asset tracking, software licensing management, or inventory systems. Proficiency with asset management tools (e.g., Atera, Freshservice, ServiceNow, Lansweeper). Strong analytical and detail orientation; ability to reconcile and validate complex datasets. Basic understanding of software licensing models (perpetual, subscription, user vs device). Strong communication collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications

Certification in IT Asset Management (e.g., IAITAM, Certified IT Asset Manager) or related ITIL training. Experience within medium-to-large enterprise environments. Core Competencies
