Overview Riot's People team exists to help Rioters make better decisions around its talent. We bring our expertise to HR activities such as hiring, onboarding, development, DEI, performance management, benefits, perks, compensation, events, labor relations, and off-boarding so that all Rioters can flourish. The Rioter Relations (or Employee Relations) team is a shared service within the People Team responsible for internal investigations, performance management, accommodations and related areas of work.

Senior Employee Relations Partner (ADA) – Responsibilities

Serve as the primary contact and oversee Riot’s Americans with Disabilities (ADA) interactive process for all US employees, engaging directly with employees about restrictions and accommodations, evaluating medical documentation, engaging with physicians as needed, developing creative accommodation solutions, supporting implementation and follow-up, and completing undue hardship analyses.

Effectively manage and prioritize multiple ADA accommodation cases from initiation to disposition with accurate follow-up, tracking, and timely communication for individuals requesting an accommodation.

Independently track, monitor and follow up on open ADA scenarios, regularly reporting status updates and complex matters to your manager, Rioter Relations, HRBPs and Legal.

Provide guidance to HRBPs and managers on navigating situations where ADA accommodations overlap with other sensitive topics, including leaves of absence, performance management, job abandonment, internal investigations or other complex employee relations scenarios.

Proactively engage with and advise HRBPs and managers on accommodation cases and inquiries, keeping them updated on case status.

Drive meaningful improvements to the accommodation process to ensure compliance, effective solutions, and a positive experience for involved parties.

With support from the Sr. Manager Rioter Relations, assist in developing educational materials and training for Rioters, HRBPs and managers related to the Reasonable Accommodations Interactive Process.

Required Qualifications

Seven or more years of HR or benefits experience, including a minimum of three years in leave, disability, and accommodation administration.

Demonstrated experience conducting Interactive Process meetings.

Comprehensive knowledge of federal, state, and local employment law, leaves of absence administration, ADA, and accommodations.

Strong business and HR acumen, with critical thinking, analysis, and problem-solving abilities.

Experience handling a high-volume workload with shifting priorities and deadlines.

Ability to independently coach, mentor, advise and partner with stakeholders at varying levels of seniority.

Ability to interpret and discuss complex accommodation and leave-related information clearly with others.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and deliver service to a range of customers from senior managers to entry-level talent.

Strong interpersonal skills, service orientation, and organizational, analytical, time management, and detail-oriented abilities.

Comfort working independently on projects or cross-functionally with Rioters across the organization.

Desired Qualifications

Experience advising and interacting with employees at various levels and with diverse expertise.

Experience addressing concerns and providing recommendations where a process or system is not yet in place.

Experience navigating ambiguous scenarios and coaching on the Reasonable Accommodations Interactive Process.

Experience proposing, documenting, and implementing new processes to improve the accommodation experience.
