The Opportunity As the Sr Marketing Specialist and Event Coordinator in our Lake Forest, IL or Kansas City, MO location, this role leads the end-to-end planning, coordination, and execution of trade shows and industry events, including cross functional alignment, goal setting, vendor negotiation, logistics management, and onsite execution. It oversees comprehensive marketing performance analytics, covering ROI calculations, email campaigns, webinars, website activity, Salesforce lead and opportunity tracking, and event performance reporting to drive data informed decision making. The position also supports B2B communications efforts and partners closely with Commercial Excellence, Marketing, and Sales teams to ensure seamless lead management and pipeline visibility. Additional responsibilities include managing contracts, sponsorships, subscriptions, associations, and coordinating with procurement and finance to support broader marketing operations and relationship management.
What You'll Work On
Lead end-to-end trade show and event planning, coordination and logistics
Vendor coordination, contracts, purchasing, booth planning and execution, outreach coordination
Cross-functional communication, alignment and approvals, team assignments
Negotiation and relationship management with vendors
ROI calculation
Sales leads processing, system uploading and assignment
Oversight, tracking, and reporting of marketing metrics and KPIs, including
Email campaigns
Webinars
Website
Leads/Opportunities for tracking, dissemination and organization to sales representatives and in Salesforce.com
Customer segmentation of lead generation
Pre, During and Post Customer event coordination across agenda, logistics, customer meeting schedules, event engagement, sales lead generation and return on investment measurement
Support with B2B Comms, email campaigns and sales collateral materials
Coordination with Commercial Ex, Marketing, and Sales for lead management and tracking
Miscellaneous support with contracts, sponsorships, subscriptions, association relationship management, coordination with procurement and finance
Required
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, Communications, or related field
3+ years of experience in marketing, event coordination, or trade show management
Strong project management skills with experience coordinating cross functional teams
Experience with vendor management, contract coordination, and logistics planning
Understanding marketing metrics, ROI analysis, and performance reporting
Experience with B2B marketing campaigns, including email, webinars, and digital channels
Excellent communication, organization, and relationship management skills
Ability to collaborate effectively with Marketing, Sales, Commercial Excellence, Regulatory, and other internal partners
Strong attention to detail is a must
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and levels
Ability to work in multiple initiatives with short and overlapping deadlines
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with a diverse team
Self-motivated and self-starter, with initiative to deliver results
Preferred
Familiarity with Salesforce for lead tracking and opportunity management is desired but not a must
Experience in B2B marketing
Experience working with procurement, finance, and association or sponsorship partners
