This role serves as the primary point of contact throughout the event lifecycle, ensuring every event is well‑organized, well‑executed, and aligned with company standards. On average, this position oversees

70–90 events per year, with 60%

of those being weddings. We have three event venues in Downtown Greenville, SC. Our ideal candidate will need exceptional organizational skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to manage priorities for incoming tasks. We need a dynamic individual who is up for a challenge every day. This position does work some evenings and weekends for appointments & events, but you will get to enjoy Flextime scheduling and discretionary time off to ensure you have a great work‑life balance. Experience in event planning/venue sales is a must. Job Duties

Venue Planning & Client Management (70%) Client Communication

Serve as the main contact for assigned clients via email, phone, and text. Proactively reach out to clients to confirm details well in advance of their event. Provide timely responses, solutions, and guidance as questions or issues arise. Use positive energy, professionalism, and hospitality to deliver an exceptional planning experience. Schedule and conduct client planning meetings, both in-person and virtually. Coordinate with internal finance teams to ensure vendor payments and client billing are handled in a timely manner. Manage client or vendor concerns in alignment with company standards. Escalate issues to senior team members when appropriate.

Event Design & Documentation

Create event layouts, floorplans, and design options tailored to each client. Build complete event timelines, run‑of‑show, and planning worksheets. Clearly communicate logistical details with clients and their event vendors. Create event lay-outs and design options.

Vendor Management

Source and book subcontracted vendors and services (equipment rentals, catering, décor, florals, A/V, etc.). Ensure all vendors working in the venue meet approval criteria and carry valid insurance.

Internal Communication

Communicate all finalized event details to the Venue Operations team to ensure flawless execution. Visit or work select client events onsite to ensure client satisfaction. Complete all post‑event follow‑ups including thank‑you notes, surveys, and review requests.

Sales Responsibilities: (20%) Assist the sales team by leading venue tours for prospective clients. Respond to inbound leads and inquiries. Build event proposals and issue contracts. Handle repeat client rebooking, including proposals and contracts for future events. Meet monthly and annual sales targets, as well as customer satisfaction and financial goals. Build relationships with local event professionals to encourage referrals. Stay knowledgeable about all venue policies, products, and services. Attend networking events, industry functions, and company training sessions as required Event Operations (10%) Work venue events in a support or leadership role as needed. Assist with festivals or large‑scale events, including those under sister companies. Periodically serve as the onsite wedding or event coordinator. Other Duties Complete other special projects as assigned. Attend and actively participate in company meetings. Expectations Attend and be fully prepared for staff meetings, trainings, and retreats. Manage and prioritize incoming tasks and direct requests from the CEO effectively. Consistently meet deadlines with efficient, high‑quality work. Maintain a personal cell phone with voice, text, and data for work purposes. Provide exceptional customer service at all times. Demonstrate strong communication, organization, and critical‑thinking skills. Perform well under pressure and adapt quickly in high‑stress situations. Bring a positive attitude and be a supportive member of the team. Submit receipts in a timely manner and monitor departmental budget to avoid overspending. Maintain expert knowledge of venue policies and company offerings. Possess a reliable vehicle and be able to travel between locations as needed. Typical Schedule While most hours will be during normal business hours, some of our Clients ask to meet outside of normal business hours. You will need to be available 1-2 evenings a week and two Saturday/Sundays a month for meetings and to stop by your events. Additionally, you\'ll also be asked to work 1-3 events a month in various capacities. Our pay period runs Wednesday-Tuesday, and we do give you the flexibility to take off during the week when/if you worked that weekend. We do ask that you work from the office Tuesday-Thursday, but we provide a ton of flexibility to adjust your work schedule otherwise. There is some seasonality to this position, with our high season being April-June and September-December. Perks Competitive base salary with a commission and bonus structure. in event planning, venue coordination, hospitality management, or a closely related role. Must be able to demonstrate experience selling, planning, and executing a high volume of events. Must demonstrate respect for the diversity of all clients and be committed to serving clients of all races, religions, sexual orientations, and gender identities. Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide clients, vendors, and internal teams effectively. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related productivity tools; ability to quickly learn company-specific systems. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities. Willingness to work frequent nights, weekends, and occasional long days during peak event periods. Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English. Must be

at least 21 years old . Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle; daily travel required between the venue and corporate office (approximately 2 miles). Ability to lift, move, and carry at least

25 lbs

as needed for event and venue tasks. High school diploma or GED required; a college degree is

not

required for this position. Must have a clean criminal history.
