Job Summary Participate in communications efforts designed to market a campus unit's products and/or services to target audiences. This position develops communications materials in the form of graphics, brochures, fact sheets, articles for publication, logo designs and/or websites. This position will interact on a consistent basis with unit management and personnel, customers and vendors. This position typically will advise and counsel: NA. This position will supervise: NA.
Responsibilities
Conduct and utilize market research as necessary to recommend appropriate marketing communications strategies.
Develop content and oversee the design and production process for print collateral.
Consult with academic and/or administrative personnel to acquire the necessary information about the subject.
Confer with Institute Communications and Marketing to ensure that Institute graphic and style standards are followed in all material.
Obtain cost estimates, collaborate in the selection of illustrators and printers and approve their work, as required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Create original social media content and provide analytics reports across social platforms; conduct website development and maintenance.
Educational Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Qualifications Two to four years of job related experience.
Other Required Qualifications This job requires exposure to higher than average noise levels, handling objects up to 100 pounds and standing/walking for extended periods of time.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience creating engaging and effective social media content across platforms to increase brand awareness.
Experience with WordPress websites and SEO techniques to drive traffic.
Experience using Adobe Creative Cloud apps (e.g., InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro, etc.) to design marketing collateral and edit video/photography assets.
Photography and videography experience, including post‑production tasks for print publications, websites, and social media platforms.
Skills Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: This job requires skills in writing and communication, creativity and ability to incorporate a variety of resources and tools to develop marketing materials. Requires ability to understand complex and/or highly technical ideas and programs and communicate them in lay terms. Also required are organizational and communications skills as well as use of office and specialized computer applications.

Salary Salary Job Grade A7. Salary range is dependent on candidates' experiences and skills that ranges from $47,872.00-$65,106.00. Must be a US citizen for this position.
