Seasonal / Temporary About the Role The Activities Director is the

daytime programming lead

responsible for ensuring camp activities run smoothly, creatively, and on schedule. This role focuses on

activity coordination, lesson readiness, supply management, and specialist support

across multiple camp groups. The Activities Director works directly with teachers, enrichment specialists, and the Site Director to ensure all campers have engaging, well-prepared daily experiences. This position is ideal for someone who thrives behind the scenes, anticipates needs before they arise, and enjoys supporting multiple activity tracks in a dynamic camp environment. Key Responsibilities Daily Activity Operations (Monday–Friday) Ensure all activity supplies are stocked, organized, and available in correct quantities for the week Monitor daily lesson plans and remain available to support teachers during activities Serve as point of contact for enrichment specialists (animals, music, cooking, gardening, etc.) Assist with and attend off-site programming such as swim trips or playground visits Visit camp groups throughout the day to provide hands-on support and troubleshoot issues Assist with lunch preparation and support cafeteria operations as needed Take and upload activity photos to the camp photo-sharing platform Receive, organize, and distribute incoming packages and new materials Track inventory and update the “Need to Order” supply list Add relevant notes to the Camp Meeting List Maintain consistent communication with the Site Director regarding daily priorities Review group binders to ensure sports, swim, and elective sections are completed for the following week Draft content and begin preparation of the weekly camp newsletter Meet with lead camp teachers weekly to review upcoming camp curriculum Collaborate with other camp directors on weekly newsletter for families Confirm all lesson plans are printed and distributed for each group Ensure all activities and materials for the upcoming week are fully prepped and ready to go What You Need to Succeed Required: ✔ Must be

without interruption Preferred Qualifications: Experience in camp programming, education, or youth activities Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage supplies, schedules, and lesson readiness Comfortable supporting multiple activity types and rotating specialists Proactive, flexible, and solution-oriented work style Enjoys working collaboratively with teachers and camp leadership CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain) Important Information Employment is contingent upon meeting all applicable background check and Department of Health requirements for summer camp staff.
