General Description
This position is responsible for assisting in the design, creative direction, and production of publications, printed materials, promotional/specialty items, display graphics, presentations, videos, and interactive communications to support the City of Yukon’s Parks and Recreation Department in all communication and marketing efforts. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Actively collaborate with various Parks and Recreation team members to develop flyers, posters, banners, and other signage for recreation events and programs. Review the department’s website and registration platforms to ensure adherence to branding standards. Assist with website updates as needed. Monitor all print and electronic communications throughout the department for brand consistency. Collaborate with fellow staff to support quality and consistency in all communications. Assist in compiling marketing plan materials. Design, coordinate, and produce high-quality publications and materials in support of the department’s goals and initiatives. Take pictures and videos at events and programs to use for promotional materials and website content. Design print advertisements for newspapers, magazines, and other publications. Assist with digital marketing efforts in the department. Work within budget to make the best use of the City\'s resources. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned. Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. General knowledge of such fields as graphic design, marketing, etc. Equivalent 2 years related experience and/or training preferred. The City of Yukon is open to apprenticeships and internships with training included. Some experience with design and desktop publishing skills in PC and MAC environment preferred. Knowledge of printing processes. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks. Ability to establish and meet deadlines. Position requires extended periods of time in a stationary position with detailed computer work. A valid driver\'s license is required.
