Inside Sales Representative - EMD End User
Collaborate with Innovative 3Mers Around the World. This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military experience to a 3M career.
Responsibilities
Establish and maintain customer relationships, drive sales growth through virtual sales, up sell, and cross sell strategically aligned products within focused markets.
Utilize detailed product and market knowledge to aid distribution partners and customers.
Achieve monthly phone and activity goals while driving sales pipeline health and exceeding sales forecast through customer interactions, business plan creation and execution, and teaming with field sales representatives when appropriate.
Drive 3M sales to assigned distribution in managed territories.
Establish and maintain customer relationships through a comprehensive understanding of the customer’s business/sales models to help manage and influence business growth.
Introduce new products and communicate promotions to relevant customers and prospects.
Maintain and update a working sales plan with strategies and tactics to achieve annual sales forecasts.
Demonstrate procedural and technical product knowledge to identify products that meet customer needs.
Work to attain sales quota, sales quality, and sales productivity metrics.
Share best practices with the team to promote a positive team environment.
Identify market trends and account needs to respond to market activity and reach sales goals.
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited institution
One (1) year of combined experience in sales and/or customer service in a private, public, government or military environment
Preferred:
Three (3) years of sales or inside sales experience
Sales experience within Electrical Markets
Solid understanding of the 3M Distributor product lines
Knowledge of the key markets distributors sell into
Knowledge of competitive suppliers & product lines
Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Lotus Notes, and CRM systems
Time & territory management
Work Location & Travel This role follows an on-site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days a week at the 3M Center in Austin, TX.
Travel:
May include up to 10% domestic

Compensation & Legal Applicable to US Applicants Only:
The expected compensation range for this position is $78,190 - $95,565, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience. This position may be eligible for a range of benefits (e.g., Medical, Dental & Vision, Health Savings Accounts, Health Care & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, Disability Benefits, Life Insurance, Voluntary Benefits, Paid Absences and Retirement Benefits, etc.).
