Job Overview The Inside Sales Representative will be the primary contact for customers and assigned sales representatives, receiving orders and developing proposals for the aftermarket business. This position requires working proactively with the customer service team to meet service standards and reach sales goals.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Proposal development
Order entry, order status updates, and customer follow-up; assisting with customer order changes/returns; assisting order processing in providing complete information to process orders for entry; receiving, invoicing and shipping, including preparing international shipping documents
Ability to look up assembly drawings and bill of materials and identify parts
Answer inbound calls and assist or route calls as needed
Maintain cooperative working relationships with supervisors and other staff members
Maintain a collaborative, team environment with the other members of inside sales
Provide timely feedback to the company regarding service failures or customer concerns
Recognize and perform duties which need to be performed in an independent manner with little supervision
Be an active member in team huddles, project kick-off and other meetings as needed
Performs other duties as assigned
Required Skills And Experience
Associates degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
1-2 years of experience in customer service
1-2 years of experience working in an office setting
Experience in an engineering and/or manufacturing industry
Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgement
Ability to handle multiple tasks and demands
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage
Knowledge and ability to operate a computer and enter, format, and present data using software (Microsoft Office)
Ability to perform basic arithmetic math calculations
Individuals are expected to be able to lift and move boxes up to 51 pounds
Preferred Skills And Experience
College level credential such as AS, BS
3 or more years of previous order fulfillment management experience, preferably in the compressor or heavy machinery industry
Excellent time and priority management abilities
Knowledge of telephone switchboard activities such as hold, transferring
Highly self-motivated, self-directed, and attentive to detail
Strong writing skills, reading comprehension, and professionalism in email and phone communications
Acumatica or other ERP system experience
