
Associate Executive Director

The ideal candidate will bring demonstrated hands-on experience within a YMCA or similar nonprofit setting, leading youth, family, single adults and senior programming that supports activities, progression, member connections, and safe spaces for all ages and lifestyles.
If selected, the Associate Executive Director will supervise and support several department heads, including but not limited to Aquatics, Youth Sports and Activities, and Adult Fitness with direct service hours of teaching classes inside one or more departments.
Compensation:
$84,000.00 to $92,000.00 per year, (Compensation is determined based on relevant experience, skills, and qualifications, with most new hires starting between the minimum and midpoint of the posted wage range) Bachelor\'s degree in human services, social services, business or equivalent (preferred). Five or more years of management experience, preferably in a YMCA or other nonprofit agency, with experience in volunteer development, supervision of staff, development and monitoring of branch budget, marketing and public relations, and program development (preferred). Knowledge and working understanding of all program areas. Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community. YMCA Multi-Team or Branch Leader certification (preferred). YMCA Lifeguard or equivalent, CPR for the Professional, AED First Aid, and Oxygen certification, or ability to obtain within 90 days. Able and willing to complete online Child Abuse Prevention training on first day, and other online and in-person training as required. Must be able to pass Background and Reference checks (in accordance with the WA State Fair Chance Act).
